I LOVE THIS SONG. SO AMAZING! :)

*A poem I've been working on for a while now and for whatever reason something clicked tonight and I had to finish and publish it...so here it is. enjoy.*

cupid with his arrow
betrayed her trust
he whispered in her ear, "i found 'THE ONE'"
with rapt attention his offer was accepted
allowing his bow to aim for them

cupid's arrow glided
striking them directly
love and passion took them over, under
euphoria. escstasy. bliss soon followed.

but, underneath, pain lingered
from the arrows pierce.
yet happiness outweighed pain
and hurt was disregarded.

deeper the love grew
and more the pain spread.
finally unbearable
she sought out an answer. a cause.
then finally she looked down and realization dawned...

Venus' son was the root of her pain.
his arrow lodged deep in her heart--
not knowing it would stay always that its point would forever be--
the source of her constant joy and pain.

love's doctor had the antidote,
[to her broken-hearted loneliness]
but the cure came with a price...
transforming his arrow
into a blessing & a curse.
her eternal salvation & damnation.

rewarded with a love so true.
sentenced to a lifetime of distress.
for with the giving of a heart
comes the potential for breaking.

she didn't read the fine print...
thought it was all chocolate and roses.
a fairytale; dream come true. no one told her!
that life is a battlefield.
happiness is war.
& love is pain.

I haven't posted anything in forever! Well, more like two months...but that is basically forever. Not that I haven't had anything of interest to post about, but mostly I've just been way too busy to even think about this blog! But, since the semester is starting to wind down and things aren't as crazy with juggling school and work I can start to relax a little. So, hopefully I will be posting something at least once a week this month! [not that anyone reads this, or cares, but hey a girl can dream right!? ;D ]
